Loctite SI 596 RD (formerly Superflex™ Red High Temp RTV) is a one-component, acetic-cure silicone sealant formulated for demanding high-temperature gasketing and sealing. Its thixotropic red paste won’t sag or slump on vertical or overhead joints, filling gaps up to 0.25″ and resisting aging, cracking, and thermal cycling. Once cured (24 hr at room temperature), it forms a flexible, chemical-resistant seal that withstands –75 °F to +600 °F. With a tensile strength of 217 psi, peel strength of 9.88 pli, and Shore A hardness of 18, SI 596 RD excels on industrial furnaces, exhaust stacks, heat-treat ducts, pumps, valves, and general-purpose sealing on metal, plastic, and composites. The 80 ml tube fits standard caulking guns for precise, mess-free application.
